Your signifacant other's holiday season gift
This will be the first Xmas in quite some time that I don't have to get a gift for my SO. I had been thinking about what I could get her for months now and was having a hard time buying for her, but she left and now I guess I can stop worrying about it. .
Around here the only places that a CCW permit holder cannot carry is Federal Building, International Airport and Post Offices. Schools are fine for now but some of the local Universities are throwing a fit about it. Oh, and along the lines of Federal Buildings, local court houses are restricted also, but most of them offer a locker to keep the firearm secure while in the court. The Department of Safety also recommends letting the officer know about your permit and firearm during a traffic stop. It's pretty cool that way though because most of the time the cops are cool with it and start a conversation about guns and end up not giving a citation to me.

Questions came up. I imagine (in my wildest dreams) that we can and will stay on topic.
To the masses: Can we also talk about what we want to get our kids?
I want to get my kids a wake board associated gear. I imagine (in my wildest dreams) that we can and will stay on topic.
I wasn't trying to start anything; I was just gauging interest in the new subtopic. Don't worry, I won't be splitting this unless people ask me to do so, nor will I be asking people to stay on topic

It's to complete her collection. She already has a Glock 21 (full sized .45) and a Glock 36 (subcompact slimline ,nike free run.45). This is the only model in .45 ACP she doesn't have.

My wife just bought a Coronado purse with the concealed pocket. She seems to like it. She's planning on buying one from Galco Leather next weekend. The Coronado was much cheaper than the Galco is going to be.
Since we've both purchased cars in the last 8 months and have either paid for them outright or intend to do so before the new year, we have a tentative agreement in place to lay a bit low this year. After paying for stuff that costs multiple thousands of dollars it's nice to take a breather. That's a challenge for me because I do love giving nice gifts. Random thoughtful (either expensive or cheap, that doesn't really matter a whole lot) gifts for no reason can really put a smile on someone's face and surprising people can be a fun game.

When my gf bought her car it came with XM. I didn't think much of it at first, but I have to say it is really nice. They have this one comedy station where comedians do stand up, it's pretty sweet. Which brings me to the ipod. I kept telling her she didn't have a need for a ipod because she would never use it (has a tendency to want things cause they look nice or fad at the moment). But then I got to thinking that when you put an Ipod with satellite radio you just might have the best musical combo one could buy for the car. Anyways. yea I think she would love it.

I was looking at the Galco line yesterday. They make some nice purses. I've learned, from experience, that picking out a purse for my wife is a nowin situation. She's very choosy about her purses, and would rather pick one out for herself. However, I ended up with the proverbial egg on my face when my wife of 8 years informed me that she already had a Galco purse. As it turns out the Galco is her second most used purse. I'd seen it in use hundreds of times, and was completely unaware it was any different than a $20 purse from a department store. I guess that means I'll have to go back to the drawing board for smaller Christmas "accessories."
